Yellowtail are caught around the southern coast of South Africa by traditional hand line fisherman off small vessels operating from most of the small boat harbours around our coast like Struisbaai, Arnaston, Gaansbaai, Millers Point, Kalkbay, Hout Bay, and Ysterfontein. Hand line fishing as well as rod and reel fishing methods are the most sustainable methods of fishing.
