Yellowfin tuna are caught of our South Coast by tuna pole vessels using rod and reel which is a deemed one of the most sustainable catch methods. These vessels operate mostly out of Hout Bay and Cape Town.

Flesh description:
The flesh of this fish is typically dark and firm. This is one of the most sought after fish in the sea as it has a unique flavour profile and texture.

Preferred cooking Method:
Sashimi, Ceviche, Seared or Smoked.
